Example: with 87,500 EGG/day and a total laying power of 2,000, a Common hen earns about 43.75 EGG/day and a Legendary earns 131.25 (196.9 with a full streak). More hens in the coop means a smaller share each, just like hashrate.

Every hen has a public challenge. Your browser keeps computing keccak256(challenge, yourWallet, nonce) with new nonces. When the result is below the target, you've found a valid hash and your egg can hatch (you mint). Your wallet address is part of the hash, so nobody can steal your solution.
After every hatch the challenge changes for everyone. Mining is memoryless, so you never lose progress. Every hash has the same chance.
Epoch 1 (the first 700 hens) is free, gas only, up to 2 hens per wallet. Max 2 hens per wallet in total across all epochs. After that the price starts at 0.0001 ETH and rises a little each epoch, topping out at 0.003 ETH:

Your hen is picked on-chain from the eggs still in the carton at the moment you hatch, seeded with the L2 block hash. Nobody can choose or snipe a rare one, not even the team. Browse every hen and its rarity in The Flock.
CPU works in every modern browser (Web Workers). GPU uses WebGPU (Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Safari 26+ on desktop) and is usually much faster. Keep the tab visible: browsers slow down background tabs.
Difficulty retargets after every hatch to aim for about one hen every 60 seconds across all miners. If nobody finds a hash for a while it gets easier automatically, so hatching never gets stuck.
Put your hens in the coop (stake) and they lay $EGG every second. Fixed supply of 21,000,000: 75% goes to hens in the coop, 15% to liquidity, 10% to the treasury. No mint function, no tax.
Laying schedule: 87,500 EGG per day for the first 90 days, split across every staked hen. The rate halves every 90 days after that. More hens in the coop means a smaller share for each hen.
Laying power: Common 1×, Rare 1.5×, Epic 2×, Legendary 3×, based on trait rarity. Streak bonus: 1.25× after 14 days and 1.5× after 30 days without unstaking. Unstaking returns your hen, pays pending EGG and resets the streak.
When can I sell? You can collect EGG right away. EGG becomes transferable when its Uniswap pool goes live. That pool is funded by epoch 2: 90% of every paid mint is added to EGG/ETH liquidity automatically and 10% goes to the treasury. LP tokens are locked for 365 days. There is no guaranteed yield, and EGG's price depends on the market.
